Michael Porter Jr. is #MizzouMade — per se and per Twitter — but his greatness hardly is made at Mizzou.
Anyone who comes through campus, it seems, can get labeled with the proud hashtag. But, really, Porter’s bigger impact on the University of Missouri was that he actually chose Mizzou in the first place, not his actual actions while on the team. Famously (or perhaps infamously), Porter played only 53 minutes in three games for the 2017-18 Tigers. The No. 1-ranked high school player in his class dealt with back injuries — and with conjecture, that he should play through his back injuries.
